GAC International Accelerates Global Footprint with New KD Plant in Cambodia

On September 19, 2025, GAC International strengthened its global manufacturing strategy by signing a KD (Knock-Down) plant agreement with TH Group in Cambodia—a key step in its ongoing effort to expand localized production across high-potential international markets. The new facility, located in Kampong Chhnang Province, represents a $19 million investment and is built to GAC’s global standards. It will feature 4 assembly lines with an annual capacity of 15,000 vehicles, set to begin mass production in January 2026. This move is part of GAC’s broader strategy to shift from pure exports to localized manufacturing—enhancing cost efficiency, supply chain responsiveness, and market adaptation. Similar projects are already underway in Malaysia, Thailand, Nigeria, and Tunisia, with plans progressing in Egypt, Myanmar, and Latin America.
